Holiday at the Pond 12/2/23
Bergenfield Celebrates Annual Holiday at the Pond: A Showcase of Community Spirit
BERGENFIELD – Bergenfield Borough held its annual Holiday at the Pond on December 2nd at Cooper's Pond. This heartwarming community event, now a treasured tradition, drew residents together to celebrate the holiday season in a festive atmosphere filled with food, fun, and camaraderie.
The Borough served up hot chocolate and pretzels, adding warmth and delight to the crisp winter evening. In a special highlight of the event, Santa and his helpers were on hand to distribute gifts, pose for photos, and listen to children's Christmas wishes, creating unforgettable memories for the little ones.
This event is a testament to Bergenfield's strong community spirit and the tireless efforts of the Department of Public Works (DPW) and Recreation Committee. Their phenomenal work ensured the event ran smoothly and brought joy to all in attendance.
Council President Marc Pasqual commented on the event, saying, "This event shows how spectacular our community is that we can all come together to celebrate during the holidays." His words echo the sentiment of unity and shared joy that has always marked the Holiday at the Pond.
The Borough thanks everyone who attended and contributed to the success of the event and looks forward to continuing this tradition in the coming years. The Holiday at the Pond is more than just an event; it is a testament to Bergenfield's vibrant community spirit and the shared values that make our town a great place to live.
