Bergenfield to Hold Candlelight Vigil in Honor of the Lives Lost in Mass Shootings This Month

BERGENFIELD, NJ -- On Saturday, the Bergenfield Stigma Free Committee will host a candlelight vigil in honor of the lives lost in the two mass shootings that took place this month. The vigil will take place at Cooper’s Pond at 6:30pm, at which time the community will show solidarity against all hate and violence.

“The senseless killings of fellow Americans that took place this month were appalling and remind us of the work that we must all do to stop this hate and violence,” said Mayor Amatorio. “Please join us this Saturday evening as we stand up together against hate and honor the people that have died in these awful attacks.”

Bergenfield Delivers Food to Murray Hill Senior Center

BERGENFIELD, NJ -- Bergenfield seniors received free hot meals this Wednesday as part of a donation from the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce. The meals were delivered by Council President Hernando Rivera, Councilman Marc Pascual and Assemblyman Chris Tully.

“Every week, our Borough delivers meals to the seniors at Murray Hill Senior Center,” said Council President Rivera. “This is one of the ways in which we are able to give back to the community and give our senior residents a quality hot meal.”

“We do the best that we can to provide the best possible services for our seniors and delivering these meals is another way that we are able to give back,” said Councilman Marc Pascual. “This has become a great weekly tradition and I thank Assemblyman Tully for helping us to deliver the meals and the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce for their donation.”
