BERGENFIELD, NJ -- Mayor Amatorio and the Borough Council have released their budget for the remainder of the year which includes a 0% tax increase. In spite of the Borough not raising taxes on residents, it is still delivering on critical infrastructure improvements, as well as renovations at every park in the Borough. 

 “Our administration has worked hard to deliver on our promise of fiscal responsibility in Bergenfield and once again there will not be a raise in taxes,” said Mayor Amatorio. “Even though our Borough taxes will not be raised, we will still be able to make improvements to our infrastructure, renovate our parks and continue to provide essential services to our residents.” 

 “Despite the fact that yearly tax increases have been the norm in municipalities around the state, in Bergenfield we are continuing to keep taxes stable,” said Councilwoman and Finance Committee Chairwoman Ora Kornbluth. “I am proud of the work we are doing to deliver excellent services to our residents without increasing their tax burden.”

BERGENFIELD, NJ -- Once again, the Borough delivered hot meals to the Murray Hill Senior Center as part of a grant received by the Ridgewood Chamber of Commerce to distribute 1000 hot meals per week. Councilman Buddy Deauna and Councilman Marc Pasqual helped distribute the meals this week. 

BERGENFIELD, NJ -- The Borough of Bergenfield is inviting residents to come to Borough Hall on Wednesday, March 17 at 12pm for an Irish flag raising ceremony in honor of St. Patrick’s Day. All those in attendance must be wearing face coverings and must maintain proper social distancing. 

“What makes Bergenfield such a special and unique community is our incredible diversity,” said Mayor Amatorio. “In Bergenfield, we have made it a point to celebrate that diversity whenever we have the opportunity to do so. We are proud to raise the Irish flag this Wednesday in honor of St. Patrick’s Day and I invite residents to join us in that celebration.”
