Bergenfield Celebrates Food Pantry Donation from Church of Christ

BERGENFIELD, NJ – This past Wednesday, July 27, Council President Buddy Deauna and Councilman Marc Pascual were joined at Borough Hall by members of the Church of Christ as they celebrated their substantial donation of 125 boxes of food to the Bergenfield food pantry. Council President Deauna presented the Church of Christ: Iglesias Ni Cristo, and Brother Eduardo V. Manolo, with proclamations from Mayor Amatorio and the Bergenfield Council for their continued service to the Bergenfield community and philanthropic efforts.

“It is always wonderful to see the tremendous generosity displayed by the members of the Bergenfield community and this is just one more example of that,” said Mayor Amatorio. “In these uncertain economic times, these donations of food will go a long way towards providing comfort and relief to families with food insecurities. On behalf of the Borough of Bergenfield thank you to the Church of Christ for your kindness.”

The Church of Christ: Iglesias Ni Cristo, located in New Milford, NJ, recently celebrated the 108th Anniversary of its formation. Executive Minister Brother Eduardo V. Manalo and Congregations leaders felt that the best way to celebrate the church’s anniversary was to generously give back to the community that helped the church flourish; as charity is a cornerstone of the church community’s faith.
