All recycling and garbage must be placed curbside after 6:00PM on the night before scheduled pick-up, regardless of the weather.
All recyclable materials listed can be brought to Recycling Center by residents. (Vegetative waste is prohibited at drop off center.)
DPW Recycling Center Hours: Mon-Fri : 8AM-3PM / Sat 9AM-1PM / Sun 1PM-4PM (Closed on Holidays)

Note:
There is no bulk pickup in November.
There is no recycling pickup in your quadrant on a Holiday.
We do not pickup contractor debris, concrete or bricks.


The department also takes care of:

  • Potholes
  • Sewer Blocks
  • Street Signs
  • Borough Parks
  • Borough Owned Trees

Pothole repair, sewer blocks, or problems with park trees or equipment call the DPW during business hours.

For sewer emergencies after hours or on weekends contact the Police Department at 387-4000.

For trimming or removal of Borough trees (planted between the curb and sidewalk) write a letter to the Shade Tree Committee at 198 North Washington Avenue or e-mail Hilda Tavitian, Shade Tree Clerk, at This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it . Your e-mail will be forwarded to the Shade Tree Committee. For emergencies due to storm damage, call the DPW during business hours or the Police Department after hours.

During snow storms we request residents do not blow or shovel snow into the street. We also ask to facilitate plowing do not park your cars in the street.

Leaf season starts mid-October to early December, check back of calendar for dates. During this period please place your leaves at the curb. After the last date in December, hold leaves to February pickup.
